Hi All, I have the uno board containing the 328p. On this board the 328 is removable and could be placed on a solderless breadboard .
I want to program this microcontroller and remove it then insert it into the breadboard to make a circuit. Does anybody then know the connections that need to be made to make the microcontroller work as if it was still in the uno board?
It is already simpler because the program has already been downloaded to it. This already reduces some of the connections.
Can anybody provide a schematic showing the connections that are then needed? Thanks.
Just one thing more. I always set 'receive emails and alerts' but it always goes back to 'no emails and alerts'. How can I fix that? Is there a 'ok' or 'confirm' button somewhere?
Google for "Arduino Uno barebones" for ideas.
There is a schematic here:
And a nice tutorial here:
A less nice official tutorial here:

The forum's unfortunate default setting is to have notifications off. You can change that like so:
- Hover the mouse pointer over your avatar in the top right corner of any arduino.cc page.
- Click "Profile".
- Click "Forum Settings > Edit".
- Click the "Settings" tab.
- Click "Notifications".
- Configure the notifications to your preferences. Note there is a tricky thing. The first two checkboxes under the "Alert Preferences" section apply to the description below the checkbox.
- Click the "Save settings" button.
I think that might not exactly answer your question, but maybe knowing where the global forum settings are will still be useful to you.
