ATMega328p programming with UNO questions

Hi all

I want to burn the code into the ATMega328 by arduino according to this article

it says it doesn't work with UNO, but i found a guy's article in forum says it works with UNO, so how is it exactly? the result i want is to use 328p directly work with a 8x8 LED matrix with only gnd and vcc connection, with inbuilt 8Mhz eternal ocsillator.

Please help

I burned bootloader into 328p with arduino UNO r3 and IDE 0022 and i hadn't problems :wink:
