you kinda sorta have to be careful about soldering them parallel to each other
Put a female plug or at least one jumper across the two rows of males while soldering. When soldering many kinds of pins or plugs, I like to plug in the cord. It adds to the heat-sinking effect on the plug, focusing the heat action in the area of the solder pads.
