I'm trying to install the bootloader on a stand alone Atmel328P chip following instruction othe tutorial:
this is the message that the l'IDE 1.6.13 reply me:
avrdude: Yikes! Invalid device signature.
Double check connections and try again, or use -F to override
this check.
In a previous topic I read that Nick Gammon made a specific sketch in:
What is the the sketch i must upload on arduino board?
Thank you in advance

Can you please provide the photograph of your connection?
Hope you uploaded Arduino ISP sketch to your Arduino board.

If you're getting that error, it sounds like you've got ArduinoAsISP uploaded to the board correctly.
Enable verbose upload and see what signature it's seeing. 0x000000 indicates that either the connections are wrong, or the chip is set to use a crystal, but no crystal is present.
I copied this from kubuntu terminal:

avrdude done. Thank you.
In the italian forum gpb01 suggested me a guide.
I substituited the chip of an Arduino board and connected it with another Arduino board as thescribed in pag 15 of the guide
It worked
