Im having a heck of a time finding info on how to program an Attiny85 with an FTDI USB to TTL Serial Adapter. I am building a small board with the Attiny and would like to add any capacitors and resistors to it so all i have to do is connect the adapter to it and program using the arduino IDE.
It needs a bootloader installed that allows FTDI -> TTL.
I find the best way is just using the ISP pins and doing it that way...you can make a ziff socket IC holder with a 6pin ISP header quickly.

Which leads me back to my original problem. I can't find anything definitive on how to hook up and load
