Hello: The ATtiny85 pulseIn instruction does not seem to be working properly. Will input a 1000 us pulse, outputs a 600us pulse. The exact same code on a NANO works just fine. Tried several ATtiny85 chips. Something is wrong with the core or compiller??
any body out there that ccan tell me why??

Might help if you post code and schematic.
Well I fixed the problem. The ATtiny core was corrupt. Code was perfect, core was bad. Makes things difficult to troubleshoot when the core is corrupt.

Which exact core? I use the ATTinyCore core and have never had any issues.

Yep, I used it for years, but then something happened and caused problems. Running core 1.3.3 with no issues, then had to reinstall it and then all worked great once again...Who knows why it got corupted?

I know that he had made some changes, but have not used it since then. I will watch out for issues.
