Attiny85V PU10

I don't have the 10mhz to select from when using the Arduino as isp.... what to do besides canning the chip and buying a 20, 8, or 1mhz chip that has a selection???

Jeff

thanks. 8)

10MHz is the MAXIMUM frequency that the attiny85v-pu10 will run at. You can run it at any frequency up to 10MHz. Usually, an attiny85 is run using the internal clock, at 8MHz or 1MHz.

A PU10 isn't forced to work at 10MHz, that's just the maximum.

It will work fine at 8MHz, 1MHz, 128khz or whatever (and that's just the internal clocking options...you can add a crystal at whatever frequency you want).

but I cannot upload a program to it, it says that it returns the wrong code for what ever one I chose 8mhz or 1mhz.

Is there an error message? Can we see it?
