Audio from Arduino directly to Bose QC35 (Bluetooth)

Hi, first post here!

I have seen several examples of people transferring data on these forms using Bluetooth:

Arduino <=> Arduino
Phone APP => Arduino

But I am wondering, can you transfer audio from an Arduino directly to a pair of Bose QC35 without using a phone.

And will it matter if I use Bluetooth LE or standard BT 4.0?

I suppose it's possible, but could not be real-time. You would need to duplicate the data format and protocols.
