Audio jack on GSM shield 2 - play DTMF tones?

Hi,

I saw the GSM shield 2 has an integrated audio jack to connect a headset.
I was wondering if I would be able to play DTMF tones through this?
I want to change an old touch-tone telephone to Arduino + GSM shield, so it would be nice to hear the DTMF tones when pressing the keys.
