For a gameplay, we need a switch box where 3 people can talk to each other.
However, there's one person who control's the chat. so we need a box where he can adress te output.
Example:
P1 talks to controller and controller can talk back.
P2 talks to controller and controller can talk back.
P1 and p2 can talk to each other only after controller says ok.

Do you need an Arduino to do what you want or just a switch box ?

The arduino needs to be able to do following.
Cut the signalflow from p1 to p2 when button is pressed.
It also has to do the same from p2 to p1.
We also have to add a push to talk for the controller(p3) and following should be able to talk to p1 or p2 or both. I lined it up underneath.
Ptt P3 to p1
Ptt P3 to p2
Ptt P3 to both
Hope it clarifys a bit thuis way?
All the audio processing is stereo and we us pre soldered board for it so we only have to focus on the operation part.

Have you searched for audio buses? there are many prebuilt.
