Australia SIM900 GSM Shield

I recently purchased a SIM900 GSM Shield from Banggood, and I put in a 4G SIM card from Telstra. However, when I try to run the board, the Net-light flashes for 64ms On/800ms Off instead of 64ms on, 3 seconds off.

I have tried different setups to get the module to work, and I believe that the problem is that the GSM board is a 2G board, so it is incompatible with my 4G SIM card. I may need to purchase a different GSM Shield that will work with my 4G SIM card. Could somebody please link me to a GSM board that will work in Australia and work with my 4G SIM card.

SIM900 shield is for 2G, that was switched off in Australia a few years ago.
If you're just using SMS and voice call control then a 3G shield will be fine for a few years. I use the following and a Telstra SIM with great success:

I've been doing a little bit of research, and I came across this shield. Would this shield work for making phone calls in Australia with a 4G SIM card?
