Automatic sliding gate with arduino and rfid?

Hello everyone I would like to make a sliding gate with Arduino and RFID reader (Lettore RFID con portachiavi e card - compatibile RC522 per arduino - ART. CM02 | eBay) so that when it passes my rc car recognizes the key and opens the gate.
how can I set the code? what are the materials that I need to buy a small sliding gate?
otherwise there are alternative ways?
thank you very much to all

[ First make sure its safe (cannot damage anyone - full sized gates have caused fatal
injuries, note. ]

rack + pinion implemented using standard RepRap pulley and toothed belt
(which can be glued onto the gate underside?) might be a relatively cheap
method. Drawer sliders are cheap and readily available.

Does this need weather proofing?

hello looks is only a model of the wooden gate that the passage of the rc car should read the rfid key and aprore the gate
how can I do?

Well a motor driver and a motor or some sort are obviously needed,
Some idea of the size/weight of the gate is needed to give detailed advice
on that.

I'd break the problem down into parts - RFID reading is clearly
one part - have you a device in mind? Do you have range requirements
etc?

Having identified mechanics and motor and motor driver you'll probably
need to consider power supply possibilities too.
