Autonomous RC car with arduino

Hi!

I’m trying to make an autonomous RC car with my arduino, but i have some trouble with the brushless motor and ESC. I’ve tried to make an easy program to test the devices, but it’s only the servo that moves. I don’t know if it matters, but the brushless motor and ESC is from LOSI. I’m completely new to arduino, so please bear with me.

Do any of you have some tips to make my car move?

I’ve tried a lot of different programs, and this is one of the most basic:

#include <Servo.h>

Servo myservo; //steering the wheels
Servo myesc; //makes the car move front or backwards

void setup()
{

myesc.attach(6);
myservo.attach(9);

}

void loop()
{

myesc.write (750);
delay (1000);

myservo.write(20);
delay(1000);

}

Many ESCs need to go through an arming process before they work. This is a safety feature to prevent a propeller from chopping a finger off.

Read your instruction manual.

You can probably program the Arduino to implement the arming sequence.
