averdude cant readhfuse arduino yun rev 2

Hi all, i am trying to modify the fsue settings on my arduino yun.
but avrdude cant read the fuse current setting and of course not writing them.

Reading fuses...

: avrdude -C "C:\Program Files (x86)\Arduino\hardware\tools\avr\etc\avrdude.conf" -u -c arduino -p m32u4 -P COM8 -b 115200 -U hfuse:r:-:h -U lfuse:r:-:h -U efuse:r:-:h

AVRDUDE killed
ERROR: Unable to read fuses/lock bits

You're using the wrong protocol. The protocol for the ATmega32U4-based boards like the Yun is "avr109". So you need to change your "-c arduino" flag to "-c avr109".

In case you're not already aware, you also will need to put the board in bootloader mode by pressing the "32U4 RST" button twice quickly. You should now see the "L" LED pulsing to indicate the bootloader is running. Now run your avrdude command before the bootloader times out (it's only active for several seconds). Note that the COM port number will be different when the board is in bootloader mode than in normal mode.

Thanks!!! worked .

You're welcome. I'm glad to hear it's working now. Enjoy!
