AVR DUDE Problem with Nano

I started having this problem with Nano's I can upload other types of boards with no prpblems.

I have reinstalled the IDE, USB Drivers etc checked the web for solutions, but nothing helps.
Any suggestions?

avrdude done. Thank you.

upgrade Board Manager for AVR boards from within the IDE

.

He is using the updated version, look at the baud rate, it's updating at 115200 baud, not 57600.

He is probably attempting to upload to a nano with the old bootloader on it.

From the tools menu, choose the processor marked (Old Bootloader) and try again.

Only genuine Nanos made after like... february of this year use the new bootloader (due to a number of arguably boneheaded mistakes, the new bootloader doesn't offer the extra 1.5k of space it could, but is also incompatible with the old one, and this change was poorly communicated to users resulting in huge numbers of individuals having problems with their nanos)

Thank you DrAzzy.
that did the trick!!

The answer by ieee488 doesn't help. More information about how to do the update would have gotten more people over the obstacle faster. Go to "Tools" and move the mouse pointer to "Boards:" When you see the list of boards, at the top, click on "Board Manager..." Now you can see what board "packages" you have installed and select any that you can update for the board you have. This is not obvious to newcomers.
