The following programs leave a lot of remnants...
Acrobat reader (BIG TIME))
Microsoft office (BIG TIME)
Atmel studio (minor remnants)
Not to mention many many more.
For the most part many program installers do not always remove ALL references to an installed program that might have been installed. Most computer literate people know this. Its also why there are so many small programs that will deal with that crud for you.
I am attaching a PDF that should help clean up your computer.
Tried and tested over time.
If that does not delete the crud then you have OTHER issues as I already referred to.
Those are windows based instructions but I gather you have multiple OS to deal with.
I certainly wont read a post if similar ones are plastered all over the forum or I am shouted at.
CLEAN UP BEFORE INSTALLING ANOTHER COPY OF THE IDE OR ARDUINO CREATE.pdf (345 KB)
