AVRDUDE ERROR

Hi all

I have this error constantly showing:

avrdude: stk500_recv(): Programmer is not responding

Im running Ubuntu 16.04, Arduino 1.6.9

and using an UNO with a W5100 Shield.

Im just trying to play with the shield and other projects, but I cant seem to get rid of this error.

Please help me.

The project which im trying to do is Webserver

What is your USB/Serial interface :
Atmega 16 U2 ? (square package)
CH340 ? (rectangular package)

I seem to have solved the issue.

I went back to basics.

Change of cable seems to have worked for now. If It comes back Ill repost.

But my USB is square onto the Uno board

if you will face the problem like that disconnect your Arduino and connect it again.
