avrdude problems.

Hello! Ive sat down for about 2 hours now trying to figure out what in the hell is wrong with my arduino nano. i was working with it some time ago, everything went on well, then i accidentaly touched 5v to ground pin for like, i dunno, half a second. i restarded it, everything worked well. i started loading up bitmap and it was taking really long time, started crashing, but still managed to upload sketches, now nothing works.
Bootloader doesnt load, blank sketches dont work, no pins touch each other, tried different programmers, diferent coms etc.

one time it says it cant connect to coms as the access is forbidden, the next time it says that there are problems with programer. i dunno what to do anymore.

here's the error:

Select Tools > Processor > ATmega328P and then try uploading again.

Please provide a detailed explanation of what you mean by that.

Do you have an ISP programmer connected to the ICSP header on your Nano (for example)?

I dont. The thing is, so far i didnt need it. Every sketch uploaded with no problems till now

The Burn Bootloader process requires an ISP programmer. If you don't have one connected, then the process will always fail. So that error you're getting is normal and expected.

Most likely you destroyed your Nano and you're best to just throw it in the salvage bin and get a new one. However, you could try to connect an ISP programmer and burn the bootloader if you like. The link I posted in my previous reply is a tutorial for how you can use a spare Arduino board as an ISP programmer if you don't own a dedicated programmer.
