kprims:
OK. Hopefully you want to continue on this.Is there any possibility your Pro Minis are 8MHz? I can bootload a Pro Mini 8MHz as a Pro mini 16MHz. If I do, I can not load using a FTDI. I have clones and it is hard to tell the difference between the 8MHz and the 16Mhz.Using a loop I can usually see something like 80 f on the crystal for the 8MHz.
We should start with loading the sketch "arduinoISp" on your Uno. Like you did before.
Then burn bootloader on one of your Pro Mini's 5V 16MHz. Once you get that to work, while you are still hooked up, go ahead and use the Sketch->Upload Using a Programmer (any small sketch like blink).
Show us the failure if you can't get it to work. Then after verifying the sketch is working ,we should reload the bootloader .
My Blink sketch runs at a 2 sec interval instead of 1 sec when using a 8MHz crystal bootloaded for 16MHz. We do not want this. With a known bootloader we can start working on the ftdi232 USB loading.
Hi,
I uploaded the blink sketch and it didn't wor.... Oh! Wait!!! It works!!! There is no errors and the led is blinking as the sketch says (the original one, and modifying the delay duration), and as I can see the oscilator is 16MHz (I loaded the bootloaders of 8MHz and 16MHz, and the one which works fine is the second one).
So as I can see, my FTDI232 and my friend's CP2102 USB-TTL BOARDv4.0 programmers (he told me few days ago which one he has), don't work with these specific boards, but the UNO board did.
So the mistery now is what is the problem between these programmers and these boards.
Thank you very much kprims!!!
