I have a problem with my arduino uno.

When i send me program in my arduino uno. it doesn't work

This is error message : avrdude: ser_open(): can't open device "\.\COM1"

Can you help me ?

What port did you select in Tools->Port and why?

I am getting the same error after downloading and installing the newest version of Arduino, 1.6.4.

The IDE is not allowing me to choose a port; the option is grey so you cannot pick it. I went into the Device Manager to see if I could install any drivers for the Uno or Mega, but there were none to be found.

If the UNO and MEGA are not showing up in Device Manager then something is wrong with both boards, USB cable(s), or USB ports on the PC.
