An error occurred while uploading the sketch

I tried several things but it is not working`Use code tags to format code for the forum

int soilMoistureValue = 0;
int percentage = 0;

void setup()
{
pinMode(3,OUTPUT);
Serial.begin(9600);
}
void loop()
{
soilMoistureValue=analogRead(A0);
Serial.println(percentage);
percentage = map(soilMoistureValue,490,1023,100,0);
if (percentage<10)
{
Serial.println("pump on");
digitalWrite(3,LOW);
}
if (percentage>80)
{
Serial.println("pump off");
digitalWrite(3,HIGH);
}

}

Can you please tell what to do because i have to submit my this pr
project tomorrow

Hi @kevin1984. Please try this experiment and then report back with the results:

:exclamation: This procedure is not intended to solve the problem. The purpose is to gather more information.

  1. Connect the Arduino board to your computer with a USB cable.
  2. Press and release the button on the Arduino board that is marked "RESET".

Now please reply here on the forum thread with the answer to the following question:

  • Did you see the "L" LED blink multiple times quickly immediately after you released the "RESET" button?

Yes

Now I got this error
avrdude: ser_open(): can't set com-state for "\.\COM3"

I'm just a noob I dont know much about it

HI @ptillisch,

looks like the TO has opened a separate thread

https://forum.arduino.cc/t/avrdude-ser-open-cant-set-com-state-for-com3/1168525

Thanks for pointing that out @ec2021. I see the "can't set com-state for ..." error has now been solved by following the instructions I provided at the other topic and @kevin1984 is now back to the more mundane stk500_getsync error.

Plss help me or I will lose in my project

Which operating system?
Which version of the IDE?
Which board? Clone or genuine?

Did it ever work before? If yes, what is / was involved in the last project that you could upload?

IDE 2.2.1
Arduino UNO
genuine
no it didnt work before
Windows 11

Are you saying that you did test uploading blink (or something similar) to check if your Arduino worked and that failed as well?

I noticed that you're using a motor. Start by disconnecting everything and try again. Please provide a schematic how everything is wired.

ok I will

But its still same

I have merged your topics due to them having too much overlap on the same subject matter @kevin1984.

In the future, please only create one topic for each distinct subject matter and be careful not to cause them to converge into parallel discussions.

The reason is that generating multiple threads on the same subject matter can waste the time of the people trying to help. Someone might spend a lot of time investigating and writing a detailed answer on one topic, without knowing that someone else already did the same in the other topic.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
