avrdude: stk500_disable(): protocol error, expect=0x14, resp=0x10

I am trying to burn the bootloader to the Atmega328p-mu SMD chip. I have done all the connections rightly on the board. I am receiving the following error.
Arduino: 1.8.10 (Windows 10), Board: “ATmega328 on a breadboard (8 MHz internal clock)”

I have attached the connection below. I am completely new to this and have very little knowledge about it. I am making a smartwacth which requires an Atmega328p-mu smd chip. I am referring to the watch made by Electronoobs. I have also attached the complete schematics of the watch.
I will be very thankful if you could help me with this.

Try this:

  • Tools > Board > Boards Manager
  • Wait for the download to finish.
  • Click on "Arduino AVR Boards"
  • Click the "Update" button.
  • Wait for the update to finish.
  • Click the "Close" button.
  • Try burning the bootloader again.

Still getting an error which I am pasting below. I am trying to burn the bootloader using Arduino Nano.

Carefully triple check all your wiring. I get this error if I have my RST and MISO lines swapped, but other wiring problems could probably cause it too.

Thanks pert. I will surely check my wiring as I have checked them and get back to you.
