Apologies for the off-topic question, but I've been struggling for weeks to find an answer elsewhere.
I'm looking a way to make the black glass or acrylic surface that illuminates when LED lights are turned on.
Can anyone help with the materials and process involved? I've attached some example photos for reference.
I have a co2 laser and diode laser that can engrave materials but idk how to achive this
Your picture looks like it is just a normal LCD, like an OLED, behind a filter or a dark lens. What makes you believe it is etched acrylic?
Idk maybe can be but inside are led lights and when leds are on it show that text.
What material u think is used so i can search in aliexpress. The filter or black lens.
Maybe if you spray with black paint a clear sheet of acrylic and then laser engrave the emblem enough to break through the paint layer.
