We are trying to solder on a ATMEGA328p and were getting an error of
device signature = 0x400020 and we were wondering if we could get any help on what this means. We have all of the needed components, the clock is in the right orientation and the chip is intact. Thank you for your help!
if this a bare chip - you no need to care about signature. more important is a verification of flashed data.
btw: check soldering connection.
