Badges - When do you get them?

Thanks for the knowledge also i would like to ask then who makes different badges as I am also bit confused for different type of badges I have awarded.

Also if this is right place to approach I would like to ask for edit in badges description to make it more accessible

Actually everything should be right.

That's exactly what we need: A description for each award.

Are you asking who creates the badges?

There are two classes of custom badges created by Arduino:

All the other badges come from the default configuration of the Discourse forum framework used by Arduino Forum.

If you are requesting descriptions be added to the custom badges created by Arduino (those badges don't have any descriptions at all), I think that is a good idea and will do so as soon as I have obtained the information necessary to write those descriptions.

If you are requesting edits to the Discourse badges that do already have descriptions, please tell me which descriptions you would like to be edited and specific suggestions for how they can be improved.

Your table is missing the relevant data. The badges are awarded based on the user's post count.

Many have description but many don't have but first they should work on the badges which do not have a single description which is completely blank

And after that they should work for briefing of the rest of badges

Good to know! I will add the missing information later. Do you also know from what number you can get them?

That's my goal too. First I want to know when you get these badges and then we can write a text about it together.

The post count is shown under the "STATS" section of the profile page:

So you get the badges based on the number of posts? And then you get the next badge? Is that right? Do you also know the numbers of how many posts it takes to become the next badge?
Or am I misunderstanding something?

Correct

No.

But that does help! Thanks alot!

Correct me if I am wrong but were not a couple of areas EXCLUDED from the post count and other related badges etc ?

And the moment you publish that information there will be those who post simply to "get to the next badge."

Do I hear a critical undertone that you don't want this "secret" to be revealed?

I think it explains why the information hasn't been published before.

Summary

The award is based on how many posts you have made. The number is not known.

To do

  • Find out how much contributions you need
  • Why are there 7 bronze, 3 silver and 3 gold awards based on the number of posts?

SO here we are again.

BUT how many times ?
