I've entered the Bar End Brake Light: BEBL, into the Arduino contest at instructables.com. Plus I am offering a $35 prize to the first person (besides myself) to assemble another BEBL system based on these plans.

I watched the video of the finished project. I think that the LEDs should fast flash rather then just light up when breaking. Also I think mounting them on the rear of the bike, either under the seat or on the rear fender would be better also.

Thanks Lefty.
The bar end offers a great project case that is small waterproof and already on the bike. The final version will be mounted on a helmet and incorporate a gyro for fast down tracking.
