Basic Arduino GPS with LCD

Hello guys!
I am looking to make a very basic Arduino GPS. The initial requirements are to collect current location (latitude + longitude) and have a screen guide me back to that location. It can be as basic as a pointer on an LCD screen pointing towards that relative location. Is there any projects like this that you can recommend? Any tips is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
