Batteries and external charger

Hi Everyone.
I'm pretty new to this and am trying to do a led strips project for a cosplay however I have some doubts, would appreciate some help in being guided in right direction if possible!

I need to buy the following currently:

  1. a battery with a charger ~ I find batteries, I find chargers, but I don't find them both together and i'm unsure of what would be reliable ~ for example, this would be great but it doesn't ship to Portugal https://www.amazon.com/-/pt/dp/B095BNX1WN/ref=sr_1_229?keywords=rechargeable%20battery%20lithium

  2. the led strip is going to be divided in 5, however the 5 led strips will run the same exact code at the same time, so the cables will have 3 cables coming from the uno/power that will connect to the leds, I was thinking of using insulation tape to make the connection halfway through the cable but I have no idea which cables to use for it

  3. I was thinking of getting these lights, would they work well for such a project and they're cuttable to split in 5 correct? https://www.amazon.com/BTF-LIGHTING-Individual-Addressable-Flexible-Non-Waterproof/dp/B088BPGMXB/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=adafruit%2Bdotstar

I basically want some suggestions on the equipment to use for this, i'm going to have the power supply module giving power to the arduino and the lights, and would like to figure out what's best to get to match this.

Thank you lots for the help and any amazon links you might be able to provide would be great as well!

I'd not settle on a battery solution until I have the project up and running. After the project is up and running, I'd measure the current draw and then determine the battery factors.

Yes, I can cut those strips into 5 sections and properly solder connections to the LED strip and use them in a project. I do not know if you can cut the LED strips into 5 sections and solder them to use them in a project. When you tried were you successful?

Haven't tried because I haven't bought the led strips yet, I wanted confirmation from someone if that would work, i've seen it online but don't have any actual links to the products they've used, which is one of the main reason as to why i'm asking for assistance on this

  1. this "charger" is garbage.
  2. 0.5 mm² is enough.
  3. i recommend 12V strips(WS2815), it bring few improvements: car battery can be used, current flow is reduced, voltage drop on further end is not so effective and colors are not distorted.

Car battery won't do, this is going to be on someone's head under their wig, since the lights will be giving the hair a glow
But that was very informative, thank you!

16 feet of strip on head ?

Kind of, it's kind of like appears in this video but it needs to be done in a different way because it has to be RGB and there's going to be different lighting effects

i see. cool and simple. this can be done with USB-C powerbank and 5v strips.

With powerbank you mean one of these things?

if we suppose 5m strip consume 2.5A, then 20Ah powerbank can provide energy for 8 hours.
