Hello
I am new to the world of Arduino. I have an idea for a project which involves connecting a Nano with a Memsic 2125 Accelerometer and an MP3 add-on board. (MP3 Player add-on for Arduino Nano) What would be the best means of powering these three boards via a battery? I initially thought a 9v but some info I've read seemed like that may not be the best method.

Any specifications (e.g. minimum runtime) or explanation of constraints (e.g. limited mass/volume/budget) would be appreciated.
Sorry. Minimum runtime would be 2 hours. My constraints are that the entire package needs to fit inside a block of wood with maximum dimensions of Height: 1.25", Width: 1.75", Length: 7.0". The total weight (electronics plus block of wood it will fit inside of) is 5 oz. I plan on hollowing out a large part of the inside to keep the overall weight under the 5 oz. limit.
I think that should do it. If there's any more information you require, let me know.
I haven't received any updated postings to my question so I'm wondering if it just was "buried" in the other postings since this seems to be a very active forum.
Any ideas from anyone given the constraints I'm under?
Well run time of 2 hours is part of the information needed, but without knowing what the total current consumption of all three modules one can't calculate a mAH rating answer for you. But for highest energy density per size one can't do better then a rechargeable Li-po battery pack, probably a 2 series cell pack (voltage range of 6 to 8.4 empty to full) with a Mah rating (which we can't know yet) to match your 2 hour duration requirement. They can be had in several form factors. They do require Li-Po compatible chargers but are the most cost effective/size efficient solution in the long run.
Here is a selection of possible 2 series cell lipos pack so you can get a feel for size Vs capacity Vs price. Note there are five pages of choices!

Thanks in advance!
You have to play your part more actively to supply more info of your project and not wait for other to answer your all question without info.
