Beginner - Board advice

Hello
I have in mind a small project I would like to do that would involve a laser/infrared sensor and a servo/motor.
Is there another board that i can use that is separate, that i can upload the code i have made on the arduino board, that will be small and very basic, just enough to attach the laser and servo, because i dont really want to use the arduino board in this project because i want to continue to use it after ive finished.
So basically i ask, is there another board of types that i can upload some code to and then let it run a servo and laser?

Thanks in advance.
Sorry if it is a big confusing to read.

Are you looking to make your own, it is easy to do just google arduino stand alone.

to be honest i would prefer something already made, something that i can easily plug into the computer, upload code, attach the other bits, and just let it run and work

Go with a promini. Needs an FTDI Basic to load code into it.

is there anything a bit easier than that? because i am a newbie with electronics as a whole, so thats why i bought an arduino and a load of bits to start learning

Sure - get another arduino. Get a used one and save a few dollars.
