I have been out of electronics for many years and am new to robotics.
I am wondering what is a good inexpensive robot kit for myself and my son (11 years old). I am considering the DF kit that works with Arduino.

We have a store here at circuit-help.com that handles Arduino stuff. I have only ordered the starter kit from them but I notice they have a few kits there. I will probably end up getting our first one there. The total outlay should be around $100 for everything to get going.
I am not sure about the stuff I will need to control it from a cell phone though. I will have to check that part out. If we can get that far, I am almost certain my son will be hooked.
My card is being renewed so they have it tied up here. I should be able to get down there later this week. It is a bit of a drive in this traffic. I may have to use a driver.
