Beginner Servos and Sensors

Hello!

I am fairly new to Arduino, so any guidance is greatly appreciated. I am hoping to start a project that involves servos and stimulates some kind of reaction.

Project aim: To have two servos or motors (positioned on opposite sides of one another), and have each swinging a plank or an object of some kind. Whenever the two objects come into close range or connect with one another in some way, a sound is produced.

I have built a few small basic circuits and have used servos before, but as far as coding goes and detecting range and distance and incorporating sound, I'm at a loss. Any help at all would be appreciated.

So far I have built a circuit where the two servos work simultaneously. Thank you for the link! I will give it a try!
