My order arrived today from Amazon , in a plastic bag with no protection.
Should I be concerned about this damage before plugging it in?
- File for a refund.
- I have not had issue with my broken Neopixels... I just solder jumpers where I can... then epoxy the area for stability.

Return if the vendor wants it at there expense and get a replacement, you want what you purchased in good faith.

For future purchases consider getting that stuff direct from Adafruit, since I see their logo on it. You can use Amazon to pay for it too. Just be aware that it'll take a little longer than Prime.
