Best Adafruit Trinket Mini Arduino Compatible clone?

I want some cheap trinket clones that I can stick into a few different projects. Has anybody had any good experiences with any specific trinket mini clones? I just don't want to lose over $10 every time I want to try a different project out!

Why would you lose anything? You know you can re-use mcu's by simply reprogramming, unless you regularly send them up in smoke.

By best you mean cheapest? Any other requirements? Like not using dodgy knock-off chips?

Is there a reason you want/need to use a Trinket? (mini?)

Why not a Pro-mini or something?

Or even a Pro-Micro?

I usually get both (on Ebay) for roughly $2-3.00 USD each...

Dimensions: 1.2" x 0.6" x 0.2" (31mm x 15.5mm x 5mm)

Looks to be roughly the same size too...

Idealy, I want to make my sister a pair of Neopixel Goggles, but I'd like to do it for cheap because she'll only be wearing them once. I thought I needed the Trinket Mini, because that's what I used for my project.

Do you have any idea of any great clone that could get the job done?

Yes.. an Arduino Pro-Mini clone.. for roughly $2-3.00 USD.. (shipped) off of ebay.

should a direct drop-in replacement for an UNO, NANO, etc... just a smaller board. should have no problem using it to run some Neopixels. (I have many times before)
