Can you please post a copy of your circuit, in CAD or a picture of a hand drawn circuit in jpg, png?
Can you post a picture of your project?
What probe are you using with your scope?
If it is a x10 check that it isn't in gnd mode.
Where are you connecting the gnd of the scope to on the circuit?
If you connect your probe to gnd then 5V pins on your controller what does the scope show?
