Best option for 2 way arduino to arduino communication

Hello All,

I am looking to develop a tiny drone and I need a small all in one Arduino micro controller which is able to communicate wirelessly with another Arduino. I was using a Uno and a Fio with Xbee radios but the Fio/Xbee combination was too heavy for the vehicle itself. Any recommendations?

Thanks,

Zeus

What is "best"?

Range?
Latency?

Cost ?

Simplicity ?

Your asking for help in designing this drone so it would help the forum if you explained why you want to 'develop' it in the first place.

There are lots of tiny drones out there.

I withdraw my question.

Here is a picture of an nRF24L01+ and an Attiny1634 which I have built to control an 00 Gauge model train. The picture does not include the motor driver. The train does not use much electricity so you will probably need more powerful motor drivers for your drone - and you will need one for each motor.

I have actually since made one a bit smaller by sawing off the PCB antenna and replacing it with a piece of wire.

IMHO if you want something smaller you are going to have to build your own PCB with surface-mount components and that is not an easy task for 2.4GHz wireless.
