Best solution to get motor with position control at any angle till 360 degree

hello all
I am confused with all the ways by which i can get the servo motor which can rotate till 360 degree and i can control it to any desired angle .what is the best quick way ( i am not bothered about cost much ) to get that .

  1. 360 parallax feedback servo ?
  2. custom dc motor/other motor with encoder in feedback ? ( how to get that work and what motor and encoder will good to use ...is it easy to make custom ? )
  3. modifying 180 to 360 using gearbox?
  4. modifying 180 servo in any other way ??

Does it have to be a servo or could you use a stepper motor ?

Simplest and most reliable solution is a ready-made 360° servo.

Other solutions depend on your mechanical and elecric skills. Every servo has a gearbox so it's not always a good idea to add another gearbox.

What do you want to control with that servo?

I can use any motor as long as i can control the angle precisely

A sail winch servo can rotate through about 3 revolutions with position control.

If a servo is suitable it will be a lot less trouble than a stepper motor. Stepper motors don't know their own position so you need a limit switch to identify the ZERO position and the program must move the motor to that position at startup so it always counts steps from the same place.

can you suggest any website which delivers at good cost ?
What are options available for this?
