The headers are great for prototyping, and a proto shield is easy to solder something. The problem is that then, the shield covers the LED matrix on the rev4.

Hi @davidmh. You might be interested in the creative solution @PickyBiker used of adding a cutout window in the PCB of a custom UNO R4 WiFi shield so that it does not block visibility of the matrix.

Nice. I guess I will have to learn to make PCBs.
I think having a possibility to install a shield on the back would be nice, which would be easier if they sold a version without the plastic headers.
