Better way to recharge my Battery?

I have developed a soil moisture measurement system using Arduino UNO, soil moisture sensor and a LCD display. Now I want to operate this on the battery. But I could not find good device to charge my battery. Please, suggest me a inverter to recharge the battery or suggest me any good design of the inverter?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

What sort of battery is it?

What sort of battery ?
How many amp-hrs capacity ?
How much time between re-charges ?
Will it be removed from the project for charging ?
What will provide the charging energy ?

And there are probably several other necessary pieces of information.

  1. It is a Lead acid batter of Exide brand.
  2. With voltage regulation 27oC
  3. stand by use: 13.6 V to 13.8 V
  4. Cycle use: 14.1 V to 14.4 V
  5. Max. intial current 1.4 A

Let me know if you need any other details...
Thanks in advance..

You did not answer all of my questions - the others are also relevant.

What do you mean by "Max. intial current 1.4 A" - what imposes this limit ?

Post a link to the battery's datasheet if you can.

Lead-acid batteries are easy to charge - meaning that it is hard to break them without being very silly.

Have you studied the Battery University website that I gave you a link to ?
