Bi-directional communication between 2 arduino

Hi all,

is it possible to establish a two-way communication between two (or 3) arduino's (1Mega ADK - 1 or 2 Uno R3's)

I've seen the playground projects on master/slave operation but could not find any examples on a two-way communication

PS : do I need extra hardware or "LIB's" for this to make it work? (now I have the "wire" LIB installed)

Grtz, Yves

Serial would be the most natural communications method for that, since it isn't master/slave like I2C and SPI.

There are plenty of examples of serial communication. The only thing that's awkward is that the Uno only has one hardware serial port, and that's the one you use to upload sketches, so it likely needs to be disconnected while uploading.

The Mega has 3 or 4 serial ports, so you can dedicate one to each uno no problem.

But you can use SoftwareSerial library on almost any pins.
