This is definitely a misconfiguration!

Then I cannot see the initialization process (Fast Init). This should come up after the first request.

That´s a "general reject", which might tell that the startup initialization process did not work and/or the keepalive ended the connection.
I´d get back to the original code and my uploading it, the eeprom should be overwritten to stock as well.
