I am getting a PCB that has male headers and I need a solution that will allow me to permanatley (more permanant than female jumpers) attach a wire to it without soldering. Is there maybe something that I can crimp onto the headers?

That is where you use wire wrap. Use small insulated single conductor wire, #30 or so. There are tools made to fit over the pin and wrap the wire tightly around the pin. Alternately, you may have success using needle nose pliers to wrap the wire.

You can use female connectors to plug onto you male header pins

Does the second link crimp on both sides?
Note sure how secure you need the connections.
Those crimp on one side and are spring loaded on the other.
Used these for many many many years without problems.
Get the gold plated version if you are concerned.
