Biometrics Based Classroom Attendance system

Hi guys,
Need a your help in making this project a reality. i plan designing a biometrics classroom attendance based system that will be using finger print identification method, like any other system this will be different, a finger print reader that will send each thumb print detai such as name of student, registration number, to mention a few to a mobile device basically any like a tablet or phone. and also this mobile device will update the database from any location within the school premises.
The idea behind this is to reduce the cost of installing a PC in every classroom, and also reduce risk in a less secured school environment for this equipment.
awaiting your swift response and new ideas if any

Regards
Andrew

Firstly

Second.

Don't try to use tablets as web and database servers, use a Internet based web server or a local PC as your main storage system

Use wifi to connect to the Internet or your local server.

Also consider how you intend to administer the system, e.g. Recording students fingerprints, entering their names and class etc.

I suspect the server side has probably been done before, in fact the whole thing has probably been done before.

Probably best to do some research on google first, rather than asking for details on hardware
