Then you'll find that Vc=2.5V is not the optimal working point because it limits the symmetrical output swing by the Ve (1V) and saturation voltage (0.5V) to 2Vss, from 1.5V to 3.5V. With Vc=3V the possible swing is from 1.5V to 4.5V (3Vss).
