I'm trying to locate the single row header connectors as being used on those arduinos.
Can someone help me point the direction where I can find them? They can be from 4-10 pins. Seen many of them are crimp types for wires... but wanted the one as they are on the arduinos.
Just go to your favorite supplier, search for "board to board" PCB connectors, filter for single row, 6 hole, receptacle (or socket), 2.54mm pitch (or 0.1" pitch) and scroll down till you find them.
There's 2 types listed in this thread. The ones on proto-pic are "stackable" in that you can plug multiple ones together. They are great for shields as it allows you to have lots of shields on top of each other. These are actually wire-wrap headers. The ones I listed aren't stackable, and are better for baseboards that you intend to plug shields into.
I'd recommend dipmicro.com in the US. I also recommend you put your location in your profile so people like majenko know not to waste time looking up and recommending parts on a UK site.
