BLANK SHIELD

Hi all
I hope I am in the right sub forum.
I need a blank shield for UNO , a shield that is blank so I can put the out of UNO components
on it .

Any suggestions please ?

Something like SparkFun ProtoShield Kit - DEV-13820 - SparkFun Electronics perhaps?

Ok. Try Googly Eye Shield for Arduino instead. The eyes are optional. Isn't google great. It finds all these neat things.

With the Sparkfun shield (which I have a couple of) you don't have to solder the things onto it, so as it arrives, it is blank.

What are you making, if I may ask?

The Sparkfun shield is twice the price of the Evil Mad one. Seems a lot to pay if you aren't going to use the parts. And it doesn't have googly eyes.

Yes, very amusing. But what's the point? I mean you are going to need another shield on top of that one to do something useful. :wink:

I agree, I would find the Sparkfun shield more useful, even if just for the reset button, but Elico did ask for a completely blank shield.

I'm sorry, but that sentence does not make sense. The word "out" is not being used correctly. Can you please try again?

I make an UNO R3 compatible prototype shield. It comes with just plain pin headers and nothing else. It has some useful SMD component pads on it (SOIC, TSSOP, SO26, 0805, etc) and a 16x16 PTH area with paired pads.

You can make your own using a piece of prototyping board. It doesn't get "blanker" than that.
