Hi everyone,
I am working on a wearable device and am looking for a new Bluetooth Low Energy chip and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. I am looking for a chip which supports BLE and has the following specifications:
- low power and relatively small form factor
- does not need embedded microcontroller
- wide support (must be from a respected company such as ST, Bluegiga, Nordic .etc)
- must have a breakout board available from either the company or a site like sparkfun, adafruit, digikey
- embedded antenna would be nice (Although I can learn antenna design)
- communicate through a common communication protocol such as UART, SPI, I2C
I am currently looking into using the nRF8001 but just wanted to see if I could obtain further advice.
Thanks
DD
