Blinking Debug Light Sanguino

Hi,
I just finished assemblying my sangiuno and when I turn it on via USB power the power led turns on, but the debug led starts blinking.

If i try to upload a sketch I get:

avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00
avrdude: stk500_disable(): protocol error, expect=0x14, resp=0x51

Any suggestions?

Make sure you have the right board selected in the IDE. Can be found in tools --> board.

I have it set to the sangiuno.
