I have the bluetooth sensor JY-MCU. When I first tried it I connected to the arduino and paired with an Android terminal. The sensor has a blinking led and when I connected it stopped blinking.
One week later I'm trying to connect it again but it is not working. This time from a laptop. When I connect it to the sensor the led do not stop blinking and after a minute the laptop says it is not connected to the sensor.
Does anyone have had this problem? What could be the problem?
Thanks
On the face of it, a laptop problem, not Arduino. You can confirm this by reconnecting the Android. to Arduino.
Less obvious, less likely, and to the point where I'm hesitant to mention it, it could be something else and you should also check the comms laptop<>Android. If that turns out to be kosher, the bone might point the other way.
I have had the situation where an HC-06 was OK with phone and laptop but refused to talk to my Android tablet. I blamed the tablet.
I later found that the tablet worked fine with an HC-05. I'm still inclined to blame the tablet because I have never heard of anybody else having the same problem.
I still have this problem. I can't connect the bluetooth to the laptop, android or windows phone. The led is always flashing. Could it be stuck with an old connection? can I reset it?
It is going to cost you $7 to find out if it is dead, by getting a replacement. In that event, I suggest you get an HC-05 instead of an HC-06. If the HC-06 turns out to be kosher, you only want one of them.
I understand your problem is establishing the bluetooth connection. This is entirely down to bluetooth and Android. No amount of resetting the with the Arduino is going to fix this. All Arduino does is supply the power.
Since you have already had a connection, I'm not sure this will help much, but here is some basic background material.
