Bluetooth - quick power up and down every second

Hello,

Is it possible to power up and power down the radio for short periods? For example, I generate 10kB+ of data every second. This is too much for BLE to transfer, so I have to use Bluetooth classic. I did some quick tests, and I can transfer this amount of data in < 100ms. So, rather than have the radio on 24/7 while I am acquiring data, can I just power up the chip, connect, send the data then power down and repeat this every second? Is this possible, or does the receiving device need to go through a lengthy repairing procedure? Is this tricky?

Can anybody list a suitable module capable of doing this?

Searching and connecting a Bluetooth device will most likely take more than one second.
